What is the a.K.a Card? |
||
The a.K.a Card is 2-in-1 credit or debit card. In the "real" (bricks-and-mortar) world, your a.K.a Card works just like any other credit or debit card. You shop with your real name and card information. When making online or catalog purchases, however, you use your alternate a.K.a Card information to shop in private. The table on the right illustrates the difference between an ordinary card and the a.K.a Card. On the left side you see ordinary card information with a real name, address and card number. On the right side is a 2-in-1 a.K.a Card with additional a.K.a Card information. You choose your own a.K.a Card Name (e.g., Jane Freedom) and a.K.a Card Address (e.g., your office address) when you apply for the card. Your bank or credit union provides your a.K.a Card Number. You use this alternate a.K.a Card information to shop in private online and protect your identity. |
